美国建国233周年的华府大游行队伍中，将出现一队特别的族群，这些代表在美华人应邀参加庆贺７月４日独立日大游行的来自洛杉矶美中文化协会队员，届时将会敲响一种已经出现了至少3000年的古老乐器——腰鼓，它是中华先民用来鼓舞军队的士气和庆祝胜利时演奏的，会发出激动人心的隆隆声响的乐器。在大游行中，腰鼓及响扇的节奏将与《星条旗永不落》的乐曲交响生辉。
这支参加游行的华人队伍此次还将带给华府一件珍贵礼物——令人一眼望去就肃然起敬的汉字书法作品——由当代中国最著名的艺术家陶海心先生创作的每幅高9英尺宽近3英尺共4幅的书法。作品中用近2000个方块汉字书写了托马斯 • 杰弗逊起草的《独立宣言》，这件用毛笔写在宣纸上的艺术品使用了名为“大篆”的字体，这种至少3000年前就在中国应用的字体用于在周朝贵族们使用的青铜器上铸字记事。
美中文化协会艺术团能够获得批准参加这次游行，与协会全体会员的辛勤努力分不开，与艺术团的全体演员热情奉献分不开，与协会设定的宗旨目标明确分不开。在过去的几年中，美中文化协会艺术团多次参加和出席了在南加州地区和外地的大型游行和表演活动：
2008年1月1日，美中文化协会腰鼓队参加了在帕萨迪纳举行的第119届玫瑰花车游行，上百万的现场观众和上亿的电视观众观看了游行；
美中文化协会艺术团2007年和2008年两次应邀前往洛杉矶道奇棒球场进行赛前表演，现场观众上万；
美中文化协会腰鼓队四次参加在洛杉矶中国城举行的有百年历史的“金龙大游行”；
美中文化协会腰鼓队三次参加在阿罕布拉市举行的“四海迎春大游行”；
美中文化协会腰鼓队曾经参加在洛杉矶好莱坞大道举行的大游行活动；
美中文化协会腰鼓队两次参加由洛杉矶市友好城市委员会举办的庆典活动；
美中文化协会腰鼓队曾经应邀出席在凤凰城举行的“欢庆碗大游行”活动；
美中文化协会艺术团曾经三年连续举办“洛杉矶华人迎新春文艺晚会”。

There will be:
Press conference;
Speech from VIP;
Parade rehearsal with music;
Display of the large panels "Declaration of Independence" and "Gettysburg Address" in beautiful Chinese Calligraphy;
Refreshments.
ACCA performers will dance with drums and fans in American's favorite Stars & Stripes Forever and Chinese Music.
Another highlight of this event is to present “Declaration of Independence” and “Gettysburg Address” in beautiful Chinese Calligraphy written by famous Chinese traditional artist Hai-Xin Tao. We will have four teenagers to carry the large panels in front of the group. This priceless art will be donated to the United of States Congress Library and the White House after the parade.
American Chinese Culture Association (ACCA) is a non-profit and non-political organization. Our mission is to promote greater understanding between the United States and China through performing art activities, cultural exchange programs, and community events. We specialize in traditional Chinese Performing Arts, especially for the Chinese Waist Drum performance.
